Re: The Andersons - Toledo
YEEEPPEEE if that's the case then the Gumpster has a title
I am sure he has his Master's short dock.. So far this year there has only been one long dock event that we have made it to.
Re: The Andersons - Toledo
I think that Aimee is thinking that the Short Dock Championship is at the Andersons, the same weekend as Cherry Fest?
Which is not the case.
Okay, at the end of the jumping season, we have the Ultimate Air Games or UAG. It has been at our Woods-n-Water event in Imlay City, MI. for the last couple of years. (I'm not 100% certain that it will be this year.)
Anyway, that is what people refer to as a "Championship."
I haven't discussed this with Milt personally... but based on what Kel said, it sounds like he's planning on having two pools, the long and short at the UAG... which would be SOOOO Cool, in my opinion!
I wasn't at the UKC Premier, but I've heard nothing but wonderful things about having two pools.

Re: The Andersons - Toledo
The second pool at Premeire was really nice. It relieved a lot of pressure off the compitition pool and let a lot of people try out jumping their dogs.
I know it was a lot of extra work for Sara and everyone else, having to set up a second pool and coordinate people to wrangle that pool, but it was a lot of good publicity for UAD (and hopefully paid for itself) and gve a lot of people a chance to jump that they wouldn't have had with just one pool. So, based on what happened last year at UAG, it sounds like a good candidate for a second pool.

Re: The Andersons - Toledo
I don't think so. Purina has us doing a jump for Walmart that same weekend in Arkansas. If that jump falls through we might have 2 pool setup for UAG.
Re: The Andersons - Toledo
Things chage in a hurry at UAD. What I said last week may change this week!
I will post on these boards which events will be used as championship events. UAG will be at Woods and Water weekend!

Milt-
Back to the Andersons...
Just so we know what to bring, can you tell us what the set-up will be like? Will we be setting up our EZ Ups, etc. on concrete or blacktop or some grass? If it is not grass (or dirt and weeds, like a good proportion of our backyard
), we will need something other than tent stakes to hold things down in a possible wind.
Weather reports are starting to predict rather warm temperatures for the area. Do you know if electric power and/or a water hose will be available? If not, then we will need to pack a few extra things (to power fans and provide cool water to the boys' ears, paw pads and bellies).
Will we be parking next to or away from our crating area? Or will we be able to unload next to the crating area? Just wondering if we need to pack the dolly/hand truck for this one too. With the price of gas, the fewer heavy items we have to take along, the better. At the same time, I prefer to be well prepared- you guys have seen how much "STUFF" we normally have with us.
We plan to be down there on Friday. During what time periods will we be able to set up?
Thank you.

Re: The Andersons - Toledo
still not sure on new dock. It's still not ready yet, maybe by Thursday! New pool, came in today but dock isn't built yet. Not sure about venue setup. I'll call tomorrow and check out what it looks like.
Re: The Andersons - Toledo
Any news on how the set up is? If it is a lot of pavement we want to have Jayden stay with Grandma and Grandpa. Dogs are ok but not fare to have him have to play on pavement all weeken!
