Dont Miss! 101 Dalmatians

So has everyone heard that they're revamping 101 Dalmatians? It's supposed to be on Broadway, so it'll be interesting to see how it all turns out. I think they're only using 11 dogs give or take. The neat part of it is that all of the Dals are rescues....so at least they're working to support a good cause. I still worry about the aftermath though....because not everyone who sees it and wants one will run out and RESCUE one. Should be neat though. Opinions? Has anyone heard anything about it? Are there any good websites out there with info on the dogs or anything? Just curious to see what everyone thinks.

I have mixed feelings about this.....I heard that they will be giving the dogs away once the show is over. Not sure how they are going to decide on new homes for them - hopefully they will be smart about it.
While I think it is great when they use rescues and/or try to educate the public on a certain breed there are way too many people who see these well trained dogs and want one and have no clue what they are getting into. I know when I volunteered with a rescue and would bring Scout to events people always wanted him and when I said he was my dog they would say they wanted a dog just like him and ask if we had any. I would of course say that this was the product of DAILY training and didn't come easy and then people would loose interest.
