Dont Miss! Purina Farms Jump May 8-9

Post by Milt on Mon Apr 06, 2009 11:10 pm

Any body feel like jumping at the new facility just built at Purina Farms? We can have the facility for a jump on May 8th and 9th!! If there is enough interest I'll put together a 2 day jump! Purina Farms is about 30 miles west of St. Louis! MILT

I would love to go. I'd have to find a copilot for the 9 or 10 hour drive.

I'm trying to get more events in areas that don't have many. If we get enough interest in this area we can put on monthly events at Purina Farms. Who's in?

We are interested, but I have some shoulder surgery we're trying to get scheduled. Hope it turns out to be fairly straight forward with a short recovery time!!?? Everything kind of rides on that for now, but we have interest, if not for May, for future dates.

Cool...although May is probably a bad month for me to make. Baby is due May 30th so I doubt I will/should be traveling away from home in May. Count us in for the rest of the months.

We would be interested in jumping on May 9, the Sat. we could not make it on Friday. I think it would be around 5-6 hours for us. But we are ready to jump Ultimate Air Elation

Hmm... about 14 hrs.

Despite the drive, I'd love to attend an event at Purina Farms. I'm not sure if those dates would work (probably not), but I'd definitely like to another time in the future.

I am interested.
I guess I could be sick on the 8th and drive down on the evening of the 7th. My guess is it is at least a 8 hr drive.
Anyone want to car pool from lansing to share gas?
I don't think I could make it a monthly event - pretty far drive and My employer might start to question me being sick a bunch of Fridays :-(

It's a little closer than any events in Michigan for us so if Jake ever decides he wants to jump again we might be willing to make a few trips over.

We cannot make it that weekend but we would be interested in it another time. Lori's family is all from a small town 40 miles east of St. Louis so that would be an excellent time for them to see Maddy jump.

Whats a matter with a 3 or 4 day weekend beginning on a friday? think I don't think anyone has actually called in sick without actually being sick. I know the thought has never crossed my mind!!

I can't make it that weekend because I'm flying back from FL on Friday. However, I would be interested in other months if any of the dates are not when I have to fly in or out for work. I don't have the option to call in sick.

Thats really tempting, although its the same weekend as the Waterford disc event.
John Casey accepted the job of head trainer at Purina Farms last year and Tracy Custer has joined the staff as well. They are both fantastic disc doggers from Ohio and real nice people as well. With full time access to the pool expect some of their dogs to be putting up some huge numbers real soon.
