GSP looking for home!
ZigZag is looking for a home! He was brought to me because he looks like a brown "Weimerhiner"
This boy LOVES to run, swim, and chase anything that moves. I'm guessing him to be around a year old. Check out his blog~ www.zigzagginzoom.blogspot.com
Re: GSP looking for home!
He is a gorgeous boy! I wish I had room for another, but I think we (meaning me and the dogs) would all kicked out if I tried to add another brother! I love his freckled feet!!!

He is handsome!! He DOES look part weim though, with those eyes. My sister has a GSP/Weim mix and she looks a LOT like him. I'll pass the word around.

Re: GSP looking for home!
Yes, please pass the word around! All the rescues I contacted are full right now as a lot of GSP's are being turned in- it's the same in the rescue Weim world too...
He could be a mix, but I think he is a gsp. There are a few "breeders" in this area and I just found out that there have been 3 or 4 found wandering the area that he was found in. Hmmm... He doesn't have the show build of the GSP, but is more of the fieldbred type. I had a few shorthair breeders check him out and no one commented on him being a mix. I asked about his light colored eyes too, and was told that it isn't too uncommon, but is a major fault in the breed standard. In any case, he has the energy level of all my Weims put together!

Re: GSP looking for home!
My sister is from Ohio and her GSP/Weim mix was purposely bred. 3/4 GSP and 1/4 weim. I have a Weim and a GSP and so I can see both breeds in there. Most GSP's do not have eyes like that.

Re: GSP looking for home!
If anyone is interested, Zig has found a new foster home through New Beginnings GSP rescue! The transport volunteers did nothing but brag about how well behaved and beautiful he was : )
I'll try to keep his blog updated, but you can check his bio out at www.nbgsprescue.org and keep up with him. He would make a wonderful dog for a super active and adventurous family. He loves the water and shows no hesitation when it comes to jumping in!
