Re: Just an FYI
[size=14I looked into this further and here is the reply from our Nutro Rep:[/size]
"We are continually getting bad internet blogging on the consumer affairs website in which none have been substantiated. There were 6 dogs that died per several internet blogs but the FDA had proven that none of them were caused by feeding Nutro Pet Products. Our company stands by our quality assurance policies that all Nutro Pet foods are safe to feed your pets. We will not compromise the quality and performance of our products at all. That is why we are out of stock on some pet store shelves because we are having shortages of key ingredients and we will not change the quality of our products due to commodities. Therefore we have chosen not to manufacture certain products until we can secure ingredient supplies.
This is all old information circulating the internet that has already been address and dismissed by the FDA as false. Check this web link form the last few days and this even says that the FDA has cleared Nutro.

Re: Just an FYI
From what I have seen it seems it wasn't the manufacturing that was bad but the storage by some third party distributors (see thread below). If the food is stored in a way that allows it to be contaminated then there are things that can happen. The press jumped on this because of the recalls from last year where they dropped the ball and didn't alert the public. Now they are a little trigger happy the other direction.

I searched the FDA web site and Google and couldn't find any information one way or the other regarding these recent complaints and an investigation or clearance by the FDA. Does anyone have a link to something official?
