Re: UKC Titles
On the UAD Home Page ( http://www.ultimateairdogs.net/ ) it says:
"Also, for dogs to get UKC dockjumping titles, they will need be registered with the UKC. For more info on the different kinds of registration: http://www.ukcdogs.com/Registration.htm Registration with the UKC gives you access to all their performance events: obedience, agility, hunt tests, etc.!
Oh and I wanted to add, if anyone has specific registration questions, email registration@ukcdogs.com . Which will probably be me answering! (Sara) "
We will be posting the complete information, including the exact Rules shortly. Sara will have them on the UKC site. I will have them on the UAD site.
For now, getting your dog Registered is the Most Important Step!
I'm sure that Sara will answer this later today. I just thought I'd pop on with the information before someone else who doesn't actually work for UKC or UAD gave you the wrong information.
Thank you,
MaraLee

Re: UKC Titles
Just curious if UKC will be handing out qualifying ribbons/and or medals at UKC sanctioned events? Will certificates of titles be mailed once acheivied? Will we need to fill out an official UKC premium before each event?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
Re: UKC Titles
We're waiting for the rules and titles to be signed off on by the UKC President. Once they are, they'll be posted here and on the UKC site.
Like MaraLee said, the most important part is to get your dog registered with the UKC and to indicate when registering for the event that you want to be part of the UKC licensed event. Scores will not count retroactively; i.e. if you compete at an event and your dog is not UKC registered, but you later register the dog after the event, you will not get to have those scores retroactively.
Ann, UKC does not provide ribbons or anything for events, those are provided by whatever club is putting that event on. So, weight pull clubs provide their own prizes, in this case the 'club' is UAD so UAD will provide the prizes. UKC DOES send title certificates out once earned. There is no premium needed, just enter the event and indicate on the UAD registration form your UKC number(s); otherwise it's business as usual for UAD event procedure!

Re: UKC Titles
MaraLee and Sara,
Thank you for your replies.
My dogs are registered with UKC and I saw your event at Premier last year and thought it would be a fun sprot to try with my dogs.
I came to your web site and found all the info wonderful and very informative, but saw nothing on UKC titles - so joined this forum to ask.
I think you wil see ALOT of us (UKC registered owners) joining your forums and sport. And I for one look forward to meeting all of you at events. Not sure my dogs will ever excell to the point of what I saw in the demos, but it sure looks like fun and we are going to give this a try when it is avalible in our area :-)
Thank you again,
Arleen
