Limited Privilege

Are these annual or lifetime registrations? I read about transferring but I probably missed where it said anything about being annual or lifetime.

They are lifetime! But, if you would sell a dog that's registered under Limited Privilege, the person would have to re-register the dog. All the other registration types you can just transfer the dog and have the registered owner changed.

That's probably too much information, I doubt you're selling Jake and Gunther!

Well, I suppose that is too much information but every once in a while they do push me and dare me to let them go.

Do I register Merlyn as a LP or something different.
I read the ukc about limited priviledge and it sound like that is where Merlyn should go am i correct?
I am planning to go to Novi, and sure his paper work won't be ready. Is there a temp # i could get so it will count for his title ?

Hi Kim:

If Merlyn is not currently registered with a UKC acknowledged registry, then he will need LP.

We will have Temporary License numbers available to sign up for at Novi, the cost is $15, which does not go towards the cost of later registering.

Also I wanted to edit my earlier post. I guess I was looking at some old rules that have changed and I wasn't aware of them. You CAN transfer a LP registered dog, and they do not have to be re-registered.
